De Sony SEL FE 50mm f/1.8 is een prime lens die geschikt is voor portret- en productfotografie. Een prime lens heeft een vast brandpuntsafstand waardoor het niet mogelijk is om in te zoomen. De lens heeft een brandpuntsafstand van 50mm. Primelenzen hebben veelal een hoog maximaal diafragma, hierdoor kan je scherpe foto’s maken bij weinig licht. De Sony SEL FE 50mm f/1.8 is niet voorzien van beeldstabilisatie. Dit objectief is 186 gram, dus licht van gewicht en zeer geschikt om mee op pad te nemen. Een vernieuwde, optische, dubbele Gauss-configuratie met een a-sferisch element minimaliseert sferische aberratie en coma voor hoge beeldkwaliteit tot aan de randen.- Geschikt voor Sony systeemcamera's
